He's here! He's here!

March 25, 2014! Our precious baby, Grant William, arrived. When I went in for my weekly checkup, I found out I was 4 cm dilated and was able to check in to the hospital. YAY! I could not have asked for a better labor and delivery situation. It was awesome! I really can only complain about the food and compared to when Miss Madeline was born, that is nuthin'.

I did send out a mass text (which I hate) to everyone about 9:50 p.m. I sent it to most everyone that looks at my blog. Unfortunately, only 3 people received it. *I was wondering why no one was sending any responses back* I do apologize for those who first heard about it on facebook. Someone through Will's work leaked the news on my page...grrrr...so I had to quickly react. Hopefully, most of you received the birth announcement. I can't take credit, the idea was completely pinterest.

Since then life has been crazy yet awesome. Madeline is doing great. She has her moments, but we all do. Still to this day (he is officially 1 month old), Madeline has not complained once about him crying. I feel very lucky and I knock on lots of wood.

Grant is definitely different from Madeline. He loves to eat. He not only surpassed his birth weight at his 2 week checkup, but when I weighed him 2 days ago he had gone from 7 lbs 13 oz to 10 lbs 2 oz. His weight is not something I will, thankfully, have to worry about.

I can ramble on and on, but there are a ton of pics. I will continue to catch up as we go!
One of the last snows (end of March).
Apparently eating two of these are known for starting labor within 48 hours.
It failed!
But on March 25th...
Translation: 7 lbs 6 oz
Keeping busy and using her imagination. I just adore her!
Lots of love! Thank you!!
Multitasking.
Spring. Finally!
Egg hunt at school.
Grandpop and Madeline enjoying some Thomas Jefferson's birthday cake at a local winery. It also was my mother-in-law's birthday. Happy Birthday, Angela.
Madeline with her friends are quite adorable!

Ballet

I wanted to squeeze in one more post before our family of three becomes a family of four.

Will is very busy finishing the last bit of his 60 page paper. We are hoping he will be completed by the end of this weekend. Fingers crossed.

Madeline is doing wonderful. She is independent, sassy, imaginative, and just overall amazing. She has started showing signs of acting out because of the upcoming arrival of her brother. We have added and changed things slowly and sporadically because we will be moving so soon after he comes. Right now the most acting out is wanting even more attention from me (picking her up, being the only one that reads books at night, sing songs, etc.) and the potty thing. I knew it would happen eventually, but now she runs to the bathroom, shuts the door, and pees all over the floor. Will and I are very adamant that we do not overreact or get upset with her. We just now have her participate in the cleaning up of the presents she leaves. This too shall pass and we are very aware and prepared for the upcoming quirks of the transition.

Also, Will and I have found a house in Kansas. It is a little scary because we signed a lease based on talking to the property manager, seeing pictures online, and talking to friends that have lived the area. It does calm my nerves that we have a place to live and honestly, I can't wait to see what it looks like in person. :)

Personally, I'm hanging in there. I am now going weekly to the OB for checkups. I'm hoping that the lil' man will be here by my due date and I won't have to go over.

Will and I try hard not to be overly gushy in public because that stuff is private! I will say though that as with Madeline, Will has been absolutely amazing (more so) while I am pregnant. He is just awesome. I am one lucky woman and Madeline is one lucky daughter. I'll leave it at that.

Also, my sister's birthday is on Sunday and my father-in-law's is the 24th! Happy Sweet Birthday to you both!

I'm hoping we can add to this month's birthday celebrations, but only time will tell.

The skirt, apparently, only gets in the way.
She is so in her element!
