Let it Go!

Several months ago, Madeline requested a Frozen birthday. After some convincing, we decided to have another blast (yup, pun intended) at the house.

Grandpop and Grandma Betsy came for the festivities. The best part? They did not roll their eyes nor make fun of the insanity that I had created. After many hours of preparation, the celebration turned out fantastic.

Madeline will officially turn 4 on Saturday. It is a very bitter sweet thing. 4?!?! Crazy. Madeline has decided that we will be celebrating her special day at Lego Discovery in Kansas City.

While Bob was here, he helped me put up the safety gate at the top of the stairs. Thank goodness we did because the very next day, guess who decided to start crawling? Grant, even though he does begrudgingly, crawls here and there, but mostly likes to pull himself up to his feet. We walked in and boom, he's standing up in his crib. We will be lowering the mattress again within the next few days. Baby boy is growing.

Grant will be baptized this Thursday. Madeline calls it, "apatized". :) Jessie and Brian will not only come for the occasion, but to celebrate Thanksgiving as well.

Will recently had minor nose surgery - deviated septum. He is doing great and we both are looking forward to him breathing better.

Happy Thanksgiving!

This is a week before the d-day!
Not an uncommon site.
OK so here begins the insanity.
Will did make most of these trees. They were my favorite decoration.
A lil' snowflake action
I was asked if I had actually made this cake. Wow! I didn't make this or the cake pops. I cannot begin to tell you how delicious this was!
The good news? She didn't cry this year during her birthday song. Bad news? She was smacking on Starburst the entire time. :/

Happy Halloween!

Madeline and Grant, both, were sick for Halloween. Luckily, I had taken them both to the doctor and Madeline was a little worse than Grant. She is currently taking antibiotics and is showing signs of improvement. We are set to go visit Aunt DiDi, Grammy, and Poppie in Virginia this week so I'm doing everything I can to get these babies healthy for our flight.

It's always about the frosting.
My cute lil' guy!
Even though she kept complaining about the "slime" she couldn't get enough of it.
At school - she's singing some fall songs.
Still not crawling, but oh so close.
M is his favorite person ever!

Pre-Halloween

Kansas sure loves their fall festivals. We've been keeping Madeline and Grant busy with cramming in as many of these as we can. We keep hearing how incredible cold the weather will be turning so we are listening and trying to take advantage while we can.

Picture day at school. I honestly can't believe I caught her like this. She has the most interesting smiles when the camera is pointed in her direction.
A fire station had an open house. It was awesome. This is a smoke (fog) filled tunnel.
Grant's chillin'
Remember this guy?
Renaissance Fair
Wish her hair could be done like this for her Frozen birthday.
Grant's still chillin'
I just love this picture
Strangely, this isn't the first time she's been in the dryer.
She has entered into pestering the cats phase.
Grant's super close to crawling. I know, I'm not ready. Yikes!
Madeline and I laughing about how she fake smiles at the camera.
She hopped right on this zip lining. She was a pro!
Grant was done.
