I actually have a moment where I can upload some adorable pictures. Things have been really good in Kansas. Lately, Madeline asks why it takes so long to go to places. There is a lot to do here, however, it usually takes at a minimum of 30 minutes to get to those places. I'm thankful every trip that we have a DVD in the car.
Madeline has been busy with preschool, gymnastics, and dance. We are debating to put her in ice skating lessons. During a free lesson, an instructor told Will, Madeline was a natural (yes, sincere vs. money hungry). Madeline seems interested so maybe in the next month or so we'll placate that notion.
Grant is now 10 months old! He is adorable and every day his little personality seems to come out. Grant is independent, sensitive, and overall a very happy baby. He is crawling away, but would prefer to stand up and move along the furniture. Any day now, he'll be walking. Oh and he LOVES "hugging" Moose and Silas. They are pretty tolerant most of the time, but sometimes Grant just pulls a tail, ear, or their stomach just the wrong way.
Will continues to love his job and says frequently, "This is an interesting place." He has now joined the official sleep deprivation club and isn't making fun of me too much when it's 9:30 and we are snuggled in bed about to pass out.
I have decided to get my Kansas teaching certificate. This is only to substitute at a local school a couple days a week. I have everything in, everything paid, I'm just waiting for the little piece of paper. A friend of mine and I will be switching kids as each other subs so we don't have to pay child care and we can get a little money and sanity on the side. Hopefully, this little piece of paper will come before the school year ends.
Wendi came and visited us for a few days which we all loved. We are saving our energy for March when we celebrate our anniversary, Grant's birthday, Aunt DiDi will be making a short visit, and Will's good friend, Becca, and her family will be visiting, and I will be making my first trip without kids to visit Jessie and Brian (if he isn't off flying). We also will send lots of love to Grandpop and Aunt DiDi because their birthdays are also celebrated in March as well.
This week we are reaching the mid 60's. We are wanting at least ONE GOOD SNOW to have some snowball fights, snowman making, sledding, etc. I hope it'll happen. Fingers crossed!
