We really needed something to smile about this weekend and of course, she did just that!
On Friday, she had her 4 month checkup. She is 12.5 pounds and 24.21 inches long.

Oscar
Almost twelve years ago, Oscar came into my life. When my father and I went to a breeder's farm in San Antonio to select a new pup, Oscar was the only male and was hiding under a table. He was the one for me. It took him three days before he would even bark. He was my first baby.
If you have had the honor of meeting Oscar you would absolutely fall in love with him. He's loyal, funny, strong, and kind. He is a gentle giant. We thought he would be a miniature, but Oscar weighs in at almost 24 pounds. He is amazing.
Fast forward to March 23rd. I do not want to go into details (please please respect my wishes), but my sweet baby, Oscar was viciously attacked by two dogs. He is currently in the Vet ER and went through a 2 hour surgery. The people at the vet have said things like, "he is amazing," "strong," "recovering very well." Oscar has had part of three crushed ribs removed, stitches in his back leg, and bruised lungs. His fat truly saved him from preventing the teeth to puncture any organs.
Will and I will be suing (unfortunately) the owners of the vicious dogs. I will update you from time-to-time on here. I am thankful for my husband each and every day. I am his biggest fan, he does amazing things, and has already put a lot into starting this process. Thank you, honey!
I also want to especially thank my parents, sister, and her family. They are not only financially supporting this VERY expensive situation, but emotionally are my rock!
I know right now our hearts, prayers, and thoughts are with those in Japan. I have very dear friends that are in Japan and am thankful that even though their lives are upside down right now, they are safe and continue to be optimistic. If you could take a small fraction and keep Oscar in your thoughts, I would appreciate it. He is still in the vet and most likely will remain there throughout the weekend.
As Wendi says, "Oscar is my baby before my baby."
I will keep you updated.
Thank you!
