Winter

A short update before pictures ~ Will and I have officially rented our house which was a huge stress-reliever. However, now we are having to start looking for potential places in Kansas (we did officially get our orders :/). Will is looking forward to moving and getting back into a more job-like atmosphere.

Will's promotion came and went and thank you to everyone that came to help celebrate with us. I wish I had taken a picture at the celebratory dinner however, as those of you know, it was truly a chaotic time.

On Sunday, I will be considered 8 months pregnant. Phew. Even though we have all the way till the end of March to go, it will be nice to say that the baby will be here next month. We are not nearly as prepared for our lil' man as we were with Madeline. Is that something that happens with the 2nd child? We at least have 2 packages of diapers at this point.

Madeline still has baby "Kay" in her tummy and has felt her brother's "heartbeat" (kicking) in mine on numerous occasions. Matter of fact, her brother moves so much, I'm slightly nervous what is to come. :)

Hope everyone is keeping safe and warm.
Adding freckles was M's idea on transforming herself to Anna from Frozen.
This was definitely indicative of how my day was going. She decided to eat her stamp on the way to a playdate.
First time going to work as Major!
Practicing being a ballerina. We haven't gone to one class due to the weather. Here's hoping that she'll be able to go next week for the first time (week 3 of class).
Hmmm...I wonder where she gets it from.
A band-aid makes everything better.
Congrats, Will!
Finally, enough snow to sled.
Representing in Madeline style.

I just think she's gorgeous! She was acting like a cocoon in our body pillow.

Finally...I got some of Madeline's personality on camera.

She was avoiding going to bed. Obviously, it worked!

January 2, 2014

Already 2014!?!

A quick catch-up because there are a ton of pictures to follow. I try to narrow down the pictures, but it is difficult. Since Madeline's birthday we've had many family members coming and visiting us. It has been very busy, but a good kind of busy.

Next on the list is Will's promotion. He will become Major, January 10, 2014. We have been anticipating this for quite awhile and it is a promotion that is very well-deserved. Since both our families will be able to attend, we are predicting about 14 people celebrating this awesome accomplishment.

Since is it official that we will be heading to Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas in June of 2014, Will and I will be busy not only renting our house out, but finding a new residence for the next 2-3 years in Kansas.

With all that being said, we will have to squeeze in the birth of our sweet baby son somewhere in there. For those of you non-FB peeps, yes, Will and I are expecting our 2nd baby at the end of March. We are quite excited. From a very emotional roller coaster over the past year of trying and almost hanging up our hats on being completely satisfied with the three of us, there was a different plan for us. After the shock of being pregnant and then finding out we were having a boy, we cannot be more thrilled. Madeline is so sweet and is happy that she is going to be a big sister. When she realized that I was NOT going to have a girl, she decided that she was pregnant with her sister (she named Kay) in her belly. She is going to be a fantastic sister.

Many of you have told me that you generally just look at the pictures so I will not apologize for the large amount. ;)

Oh Silas
Yup, we are not ready for Madeline to take any friends in her car yet.
Aunt Jessie was telling M to turn the wheel to follow her. It really wasn't sinking in yet. Curb ahead!
