***WARNING*** Super long post!
August -
Aedin and Robbie came and stayed with us for about a week and a half. It was awesome. Aedin and Robbie would wake up between 6:30-6:45 and quietly come upstairs and grab Madeline and get her dressed for the day (they didn't realize I would watch through the monitor), it was truly precious. I was successful in tiring them out each and every day. Towards the end of their stay, I took them to the park and next thing I knew, all three of them were sitting on the bench eating snacks because they were "too tired". Mind you, this was within 5 minutes of us being at the park. Sherri and Rob, I need to send you both the pictures from the kids visit.
Jessie and Brian came to visit and meet their Godson for the first time. It was a short, but awesome visit. We are looking forward to seeing them on Thanksgiving. BTW, Jessie, I know I need to send you the pictures online, too!
September -
Angela came in for a weekend and the kids had tons of fun. Angela even played playdoh with Madeline. :)
My mom came to visit and help me with the kids while Will was in Charlottesville for a week. Not only did she help me twice in the middle of the night rocking Grant to sleep while I was dealing with Madeline, but she helped keep me sane throughout the week.
October -
We are going to spend the weekends doing fall'y type things.
Madeline -
Madeline is
finally starting to like Kansas. She is liking preschool (likes her school from VA more), she's in dance, and gymnastics. She is meeting friends and I'm thankful some of her friends will be here for the duration that we will be in Kansas.
While we were at the doctor for a referral to a psychologist (sleep issues) the doctor found that she STILL HAS FLUID IN HER EARS! ARGH! To make a looong story short, she has temporary hearing loss in her left ear and her right ear is a touch better, but not by much. This Tuesday she will be going in to get her THIRD set of tubes and potential revision to her adenoids. Sigh. We keep on going though.
Grant -
He's adorable if I do say so myself. After my mom came here, she suggested that we start increasing his milk/formula supply. Wow, was she right. He is drinking a ton, less fussy, and he is just getting chunky chunky chunky. Grant already is too big for some of his 6 months clothes and he just turned 6 months. I am slowly transitioning from nursing to formula. I was battling this for awhile - feeling guilty - but after I saw how happy he was after increasing the formula/breast milk ratio, it was confirmation that we made the right decision.
Congrats to my cousin, Lindsay on the birth of her precious son, Jack.
Happy happy birthday to my mom!!

| Madeline would stick a bottle in the goat's mouth for .2 seconds, pulled it out, and quickly stuck it into another goat's mouth. It took a long time to finish that bottle. |

| I probably should be telling M, "No, don't blow bubbles in your chocolate milk." However, it's pretty cool looking. |
