Just for Rita...

Rita ~ Here is the banner you encouraged and helped me with. It turned out amazing. I also included some other decorations for the partay. Will helped with the cupcakes...he made things "interesting" with the one-eyed owl. Ha!

Merry Christmas!

The week before last, Will was in D.C. for work while I stayed in VA with my sister. Will and I met up afterwards to experience an Eagles game up close and personal. The fans did not let me down as Will and I were sandwiched between two intoxicated gentlemen on opposing teams. Craziness!

Today was a very Merry Christmas. Will, Madeline, and I had a very quiet intimate day. After Madeline saw what Santa had brought her, she decided instead of unwrapping gifts, it was Baby Einstein time. It was very sweet. We finished unwrapping her gifts roughly 4 hours after she woke up.  We appreciate everyone's gifts and I am hoping to get a proper thank you out to you in conjunction with her birthday thank you's. Better late than never?!? :)

Will will be having minor knee surgery on January 3rd to repair a torn meniscus that occurred back in 2008-2009 while in Iraq.

Also, there is an Oscar update. Will and I have officially filed and served the Browns with our complaint. We have a court date in VA, February 16, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. A huge thank you to Bob for helping us with filing the complaint.

More details are included in the photo captions.
This was our second ball we went to (JAG prom)
Santa drove right by Bob and Betsy's house. I do have to admit Santa had a very thick New Jersee accent.
Betsy took us to this magical place where this guy is a high school teacher by day, chef on the weekend. He is quite famous ~ Cipolli Cannoli: http://newyork.cbslocal.com/top-lists/n-j-s-5-best-cannolis/ We sacrificed our cannolis and passed them to the Bauer household as a thank you for watching Madeline. They can attest that they were delicious!
While in NJ, Will and I did some local shopping and ran into this lil' fellow.
We went to the Italian market in downtown Philly. Will was in cheesy heaven!
This guy helped us pick just the right cheese...well cheeses (lots were bought).  I thought the shop decor was a bit...hilarious!
This one's for you, Bob! :)
Philly has started doing massive murals around downtown. This is just one example of the incredible work being done!
E-A-G-L-E-S!!
Will singing. Eagles won this game! Yay!
Enjoying the beautiful weather...
Right after I took this shot, the horse decided he was going to take Madeline's hand hostage in his mouth. With no hesitation, I followed quickly into the horse's mouth and helped pry his mouth open to release sweet Madeline's hand. Besides a few red marks and a drama cry, she was just fine. We went back to visit Charlie on the way back to the car and she wasn't in the least bit interested. Hmmm!??!
It was a beautiful 70 degreed two days before Christmas.
Moose was enjoying the amazing weather, too!
He's so getting into the spirit!
One of Will's co-workers made us some chocolate peanut butter balls. Madeline was able to sneak one away.
Num...num...num...
Caught!
Chill-laxin'
One of my absolute favorite pictures of Miss Madeline...so far. This was taken at Wormsloe Plantation, Savannah, GA.
Gorgeous!
Precious!
Love this girl!
It was nap time...can ya tell?

and to all a goodnight!

December 5, 2011

It's December already?

The past three weeks have flown by. We have had many visitors and our house has been filled with lots of smiles, laughter, and memories. Thanksgiving was fantastic. We had a total of 14 people (including the little ones). The weather was amazing so we were able to eat our dinner outside. I do want to thank Wendi for helping prepare the food all day Wednesday and for helping prep things on Thursday. Will and I appreciate you!

As soon as everyone departed and went their separate ways, my parents came. They not only helped fix things up around the house, but were able to enjoy Savannah some. The pictures will really show for themselves and Will's, Madeline's, and my adventure will continue this Sunday when we head out to VA/D.C. for a week.

I apologize for the amount of pictures of Madeline....I just can't help it!

Moose squeezing in any place possible. This happens to be our wardrobe dresser.
Looking sassy...
Love the curiosity in this picture.
We went to our first ball last Friday. We had to do the cheesy prom pose!
Cha cha cha!
